Baby...
we were snuck in for a quick ultrasound.. just to peek.. we were hoping to have the GREAT tech, her name is Holly, seriously, this woman is so talented at what she does..
but another nice lady tried, she tried and tried too, we poked, coughed, giggled, everything..
the baby just kept wrapping it's legs tighter and tighter around the cord...
Oh well, we will try again another time..
If I knew better, I would be making dinner before I got too tired... we'll see..

Monday -- update...
well, it really was a productive day...
I managed to clean her room, my room, finish laundry, empty dishwasher & reload, PLUS cleaned up the playroom so that we can open up and air out the suitcases.. :)
I did not clean the bathroom, can you tell where my yuckiness in cleaning lies??
I did also make it to Michael's for the Making Memories lazy susan supplie holder.. Cheryl has one, and I was tired of coviting it.. so I spent my 25 bucks and I have one.. I am looking for tools and such to put in it now.. making me soooo smiley.. I love that my scrapping space is taking shape.. makes me almost want to start doing something besides making cards and baby books for others..
Almost..
I did start pricing paper for my australia album.. All I really want is 8 1/2 by 11 kraft colored or cream colored paper.. HARDEST THING in the world to find in bulk -- without paying a million dollars for it... I am slowly putting together the kit of stuff to take with me to scrap the vacation album as I go along.. I think if I do it there, Fuzzy can go out at night and I can just sit and chat with him mom and dad and keep busy.. PLUS, be productive.. one done album is one done album, plus, I am bringing a mini-album to make for my in-laws while I am there of Miranda's trip.. this little adventure also insures that I make to the scrapbook stores atleast once -- or atleast a craft store.. -- alterior motives are a wonderful thing..
I am off to clean and organize while my last load of laundry is washing.. I must be hitting the nesting stage of this pregnancy .. I am tired, but very much a cleaning machine.. which is good because I have been so relaxed about everything since I found out I was pregnant.. so, it's a win win for EVERYONE... who doesn't love a clean house??
If I only knew better.. I would logging off this computer instead of leaving here to play one quick (who am I kidding 4 or 5 quick games of solitaire)...
Good night..
:) Monique

a Monday
Okay.. It's Monday and I am feeling.. OK.. not great, not yucky..
I took Ambien last night and no funky Elmo dreams.. I am grateful for uninterrupted sleep...
Today I am working on cleaning up the house some.. I have a list of 5 things I would truly like to complete before 1ish when I have to head over to give my uncle his lunch..
these things include.
1 - clean her room - dust, vacc, and laundry, sheets... she does better with her allergies when I do this..
2. the bathroom -- umm.. needs a good once over..
3. fold towels & sheets
4. dishwasher empty and refill...
5. clean up my room OR wash the pans... neither of these are thrilling me,but need to be done.
getting this stuff done will allow me to play with my scrapbook mess some today.. and that would make me sooo happy..
If I knew any better, I would be working on this list and NOT rambling on here..

Groundhog day...
Okay, I figured I would take the time and post tonight since I won't likely make it on the computer tomorrow.. so..
HAPPY GROUNDHOG DAY...
I love Groundhog Day! I know that many don't even consider it a holiday or think twice about it, but I personally love it.. It's cute, fun and harmless.. It's also all about tradition.. I love tradition.
In fact, my growing family has one of it's own. Every year for Groundhog Day, we order chinese food for dinner and actually eat it in the living room while we watch the movie on tv. We started the tradition when DH and I were first married and then continued it with Miranda.. it's silly, but fun.. she actually looks forward to it now.
A new part of the tradition is that I make cupcakes for day care, preschool or whatever Miranda happens to be in(this was my 3rd year making them) I usually make chocolate cupcakes(dirt), frosted with green (grass) and then pop a little peanut butter cookie in it.. The cookie is perfectly shaped like a groundhog, and I add mini m&m's for eyes, red gel for nose and white frosting teeth.. this year's were the best so far, I planned it right and timed it so that I wasn't rushing the whole things.. they were awesome. So we brought the cupcakes to school and I stayed to read some stories and share my Christmas present from my Uncle Paul -- my groundhog puppet.. seriously, this puppet ROCKED on Christmas.. coolest gift EVER! the kids loved it and i totally had their attention.. plus, I was my little girl's hero for being so cool with a snack and story time for her class.. GOTTA LOVE THAT!
so, yes, I am a freak who loves this holiday.. I love that the country stops, for a minute, not much longer to check in with the little groundhog. is the weather prediction accurate.. no, does it really matter.. NO.. it's about the tradition, the fun of just stopping for a few minutes to check out the tradition of things... it makes me smile and makes me think of when the world was just a little bit simpler.
Now, you can also take the fun to extremes and go to Pennsylvania and rock out with the crazies, which some year, I completely intend to do.. Fuzzy has promised me that one year, we will go.. probably when the little one is old enough to tolerate the cold.
So, please enjoy your Groundhog Day, remember the simplistic times of animals predicting the weather and smile -- it's about tradition...
Enjoy your day -- I know I will
If I knew better, I would be packing my bag to scrapbook with Cheryl and not writing this post so that I can take my medication and go get some very long overdue sleep... but yet, I continue to ramble...

realizations...
Okay.. in my efforts to be a better blogger, I am realizing a few things..
One -- I think about things I can blog about on here.. because honestly, my life is really quite boring.. I am not a celebrity or even someone important.. I live a normal life, doing normal things and have normal experiences, or at least I HOPE that they are normal.
Two - blogging is funny, I often wonder who reads this and who things I am really just nuts..
Three- WHY am I blogging?
okay, thoughts aside, I am going to complain about being pregnant again, so if you are not sure if you need to hear another story from the pregnant side of life.. departing here is good time..
Pregnant.. I am officially now, 2 weeks LESS pregnant than we thought I was.. this is so unfair.. I already feel like I am going to be pregnant forever and now, I am going to be pregnant just 2 weeks more.. Baby's official date of entry into this crazy planet is July 7, 2008. Not the 8th like the ultrasound think and not the 24th of June like my dr. thinks.. making the date of conception some time in the middle of October.. which, according to my schedules.. umm.. doesn't make a whole lot of sense..
anyways.. I am not only 16 weeks and 2 days pregnant.. and honestly, just a little more than frustrated explains how I feel about it.. ggrrr...
On a good note, the baby's heartbeat was LOUD and CLEAR this time.. no stress for the already rapidly stressing mama..everything continues to be normal, but my blood pressure was high, which if you had a true glimpse of stressful day, would make sense.. but.. what can I do.
My dr. has also assured me that I will be getting another ultrasound around the 32 week point, another FOREVER time frame away.. but still another peek is another peek.. Personally, don't think that I will wait that long.. I have looked into the entertainment ultrasounds and might need one of those.. I am honestly one of those people who JUST NEED TO KNOW..
I am off to get my daughter to take her to the tailors for dress alterations.. OH THE FUN! I wish I had done this on the weekend and not just after school -- so not a good idea, but with less than a month, I have to get it done.
If I only knew better, I would be loading the dishwasher and not blogging, but this is more fun and less work...

It's a....
Baby.. that is all that we found out in today's level 2 ultrasound..
The baby was giving us nothing but..Butt.. little stinker..
seriously, the baby is growing strong and healthy, good spine development, head, neck and internal organs.. all good from what they could see.. because of this, we are not going forward with the amniocentesis.. just too risky for my liking.. we are not really in the risk pool, but it was totally worth checking into..
I am seriously hoping that we get another peek at the baby soon.. my dr. is really good about such things.. there are other options too..
Something interesting is the due date, both ultrasounds put the baby due on July8, but my dr. calculates a due date of June 24. Mind you, I didn't expect to get pregnant on my own, so while I was paying attention, I didn't study the calendar each month. We'll see what the Dr. says next week..
Either way, I am offically, 30 days and counting until we go on vacation. Sydney, here we come. We have tickets (or will be finalizing them tonight) and today I booked our hotel for one night going out and one night going back.. Really nice hotel.
Here.. Take a peek..
http://embassysuites1.hilton.com/en_US/es/hotel/LAXESES-Embassy-Suites-Los-Angeles-International-Airport-South-California/index.do
hopefully that will take you to it, if not, it's the Embassy suites at LAX.. very sweet lady named Nan helped me on the phone today... Oh, and on the way home, Miranda is going to get a build a bear package in our suite.. should be fun for her, sorta like a little treat before the vacation of her spoiling is done..
I still have alot to do for the trip, especially get her dresses altered.. oh and find some for me.. still looking because I don't know how much I might pop... but safe to say I have find something and soon.. I have done quite a bit, started making lists, buying stuff, we have suit cases, which was the big worry.. GOTTA LOVE TARGET...
Today I started cleaning up my scrap room / space.. so nice to see things going into the trash, or being put into sorting boxes or being into a donation box.. just a nice thing.. good sense of accomplishment.. and I am being realistic about my purge box.. I know what I will and won't use and am just going to pass things along... it's time... plus, if I get my way, I will be shopping tons at the CK convention in May.. DH owes me BIG TIME..
enough for tonight, I might put on the tv and do some more cleaning.. totally hitting the nesting phase and the not so tired I can' t move phase.. the nausea phase can end at any time.. :)
but as long as I eat between 10 and 4:30 - 5:00pm, the world is an okay place, for me and the baby..
If I knew better, I would be packing up a bag for the tomorrow, so that I have enough to do while I hang out with my uncle, but umm..

Happy New Year
I am so excited to see last year over.. the end of it was tough... Holidays, while they are fun, really make me long for the ease of the mundane and boring...
Life with the baby has been fun.. we have been feeling some bumping from the baby inside, faint and mild, but bumping.. My husband is cute.. he really smiles a lot when he "ThinkS" he feels things.. :) I too have been feeling things.. like seriously muscle spasms all over my belly and today, my back.. HURTS.. scarey too. enough to send me to the emergency room on New Year's Eve.. but all is well, my dr. did an ultrasound today, a quick one, to find the heartbeat.. he ROCKS... I totally need to see & hear my baby..
Stress is a good word for my life lately, so is tired.. but I am trying.. seriously trying to eat and keep things down too... working on it..
2 things I do know...
1. The Magic Bullet, the little blender thing, TOTALLY ROCKS... makes awesome smoothies.. COLD and yummy and real fruit.. gotta love that..
2. Frozen Cherries and orange juice and you have a very tasty treat, which naturally LOWERS your cholesterol.. not that mine is bad, but lower is always a good thing..
on the lower side of things.. I am offically 25 lbs lighter.. okay, not great when pregnant, it's better than I though..
I am still not scrapping, not really inspired too either and for today.. that is okay..
I do wish I had the energy to clean more.. just tired...
got my little ones passport again today.. we lost the first one.. less than I expected, but still worth the sleep that I will get tonight knowing I no longer have anything to worry about...
If I only knew better, I would be running the washing maching right now so that I could squeeze in both loads of clothes tonight....
